Valentine's Day. If you recall, I have mixed emotions about the day. Today, my boys came downstairs to find a yummy nugget of "love" waiting for them on the kitchen table. Is my love for them really equal to a handfull of chocolate covered peanut butter hearts? No way! But, on a day where love is celebrated (and yet still greatly misunderstood in this world), I believe it is important for them to receive a special something from their Mama. Another reminder that they are unconditionally loved. I know I needed it from my Daddy.Footprints
One night I had a dream. I was walking along the beach with the Lord, and across the skies flashed scenes from my life. In each scene I noticed two sets of footprints in the sand. One was mine, and one was the Lords. When the last scene of my life appeared before me, I looked back at the footprints in the sand, and to my surprise, I noticed that many times along the path of my life there was only one set of footprints. And I noticed that it was at the lowest and saddest times in my life. I asked the Lord about it: "Lord, you said that once I decided to follow you, you would walk with me all the way. But I notice that during the most troublesome times of my life there is only one set of footprints. I don't understand why you left my side when I needed you most." The Lord said: "My precious child, I never left you during your time of trial. Where you see only one set of footprints, I was carrying you."
Barber downed his breakfast as soon as he could so that he could have one of his special treats. Jeter is saving them for later. He really wanted one but I reminded him that his class is having a party today and he is certain to have a treat or two at school.
Happy Valentines Day! May you truly know the unconditional love of our Father.

Good stuff!
How responsible of Jeter, he sounds so sweet. You are so right about the day, nothing can equal to how much love you really have.
But happy Valentines day, I do hope it's a good one.
Hugs to you!
