I've been thinking about and planning gifts for Father's Day this weekend. So why not muse about it? There are not as many quotes out there on the web about Dad's - at least in comparison to Mom's. Not going to even talk about the potential meaning there regarding Fatherhood and our society. Nope. So...variety is the word today - two different quotes and a video. One is in honor of the political year we are in and the others highlight the relationship that Dad's have with their sons and daughters.
The father is always a Republican toward his son, and his mother's always a Democrat. ~Robert Frost
When a father gives to his son, both laugh; when a son gives to his father, both cry. ~William Shakespeare
I would love to dissect Frost's and/or Shakespeare's quote but my brain is busy with other tasks right now. Too. Much. Going. On.
