Grammie and Poppy celebrate 40 years! We celebrated yesterday with an intimate dinner at Alois (Dawson, Lil' sis, Grammie, Poppy, Simms and myself). The food was excellent but the company is what made the dinner outstanding!
When we toasted our parents I couldn't help but well up with thanksgiving. Here are a few of my thank you's:
Dad, thank you for asking mom to dance.They are a model to me. I love that when they gaze at one another or speak of the other person, you can see the LOVE in their eyes and hear it in their words.
Mom, thank you for saying "yes".
Thank you for honoring your vows and one another.
Thank you for weathering the storms of life together so that we could all enjoy the rays of sunshine that follow...
Thank you for friendship.
Thank you for unconditional love.
Thank you for always pointing us to Jesus.
Thank you for not being perfect so that we can comprehend the meaning of grace, mercy, and forgiveness.
I look forward to celebrating each and every new year they are blessed with this side of Heaven.

Thank you for having two beautiful daughters!Hee hee.
