Technology...so useful and sometimes quite annoying. Just this Saturday our phone line was dead. Yes...dead! No comprehendible reason why. When we got through to the company they checked whatever they check and said there wasn't anything that appeared to be a problem. They suggested that we unplug all of our phone lines, wait 5 minutes and plug them back in to see if it would work. We didn't get around to it on Saturday and planned on completing that task on Sunday - after church. Before doing so, Simms checked the phone and lo and behold there was a dial tone. Hooray!
Unfortunately the celebration was limited because moments later we discovered that now our DSL wasn't working. It's with the same company. So...it is still not working and we are without access to the internet. We were kind of hoping to wake up today and have it work again. This is by no means life threatening but it is annoying and, as a result, I may be "gone" for a few days...
How am I posting this then you ask? From lil' sis'. She's the best!

This happened to us not that long ago. Verizon came out a week after we called them - it turned out to be a squirrel that bit through the wires. The Verizon man said it happens all the time. Maybe you have some hungry squirrels.
